Shanghai First-Day Card

1. Before leaving arrivals

• □Read your airport code: PVG is Pudong; SHA is Hongqiao. Also check the terminal - these are not interchangeable destinations.
• □Open your saved hotel address in Chinese. Check that data, battery and your chosen payment method are available.
• □If you cannot locate the correct stop or pickup area, ask at the airport information desk before booking a ride.

2. Choose the whole journey

• □Taxi: follow signs to the official queue. Show the Chinese address and keep the receipt. Cost and journey time depend on your destination and traffic.
• □Metro or Maglev: check the final stop, transfers, luggage handling and last train. The Maglev alone does not take you to every city hotel.
• □Airport Link Line: an option between Pudong and Hongqiao T2. Confirm whether that route fits your hotel or onward journey.

3. Keep a backup

• □Arriving late or with heavy bags? Compare an official taxi or a confirmed hotel transfer with the available rail options.
• □App or payment failure: move to a safe place, check connectivity and the payment status, then use your prepared backup.
• □Hotel name / Chinese address / front-desk phone: write these on the reverse, or keep a screenshot with this card.
