How do I find DiDi pickup points at airports and train stations?

Use the pickup point shown in the app, then match it to the airport or station signs. Large hubs often require designated ride-hailing areas, levels, gates, or parking zones rather than the closest curb.

Practical answer, not legal advice.

Payment, telecom, app, and platform rules can change. Verify policy-sensitive details with the provider or official source before making expensive plans.

Use the app point, not the nearest door

At airports, railway stations, malls, and large hotels, the app pin may point to a signed pickup zone rather than the exit directly in front of you. Follow the pickup name, level, gate, parking area, or terminal shown in the app.

If there are several pickup choices, choose one you can actually reach with luggage. A slightly farther but clearly signed pickup zone is easier than a vague curbside pin.

Prepare the location before calling

Save your hotel and destination in Chinese, then check the pickup point before you request the ride. At airports, confirm the terminal and arrival level. At rail stations, confirm whether you are at the north, south, east, or west exit.

Take a screenshot of the pickup point and driver plate number in case mobile data drops while you are walking through the station.

If the driver cannot find you

Keep messages simple: send the pickup point name, a nearby gate or sign, and your visible landmark. If voice calls are hard, ask station, airport, or hotel staff to help explain your location.

Do not step into traffic or cross barriers to meet a car. Move to the signed ride-hailing or taxi area instead, then update the driver from there.
